- Install the NSSF App from the google playstore
- If you are not cataloged in the NSSF e-service, click the button, “Not Registered?’Register. Include all the details required, validate, and save. A notification displayed as “Member Created” confirms successful registration.
- Click ok and the app will redirect you to a page where a prompt will appear for you to select the indicated identity credentials.
- The app will redirect you to a page displaying a member’s account, where you get various options to select.
- Select “View Statement”
- Download the statement if prompted to and view from your device.
How to request and get your NSSF statement via email using a mobile phone
- Dial *303# On your mobile phone,
- Choose “Member Services” from the menu then select “Contribution Information”
- Tap on “Email Contribution Statement”
How to get NSSF statement on the self-service portal
This is another method you can use to get an NSSF statement online but it requires prior registration.
- From your browser Launch the NSSF Self– Service Portal
- Click the “ Member self-service links” option On the portal,
- Select the “NSSF contributions statement” tab
- Enter your username and password on the statement account login page
- Click on the link provided on the welcome page and you will be redirected your account.
- Select the statement period from your account and click on “issue account” to view your statement
How To Pay NSSF For A Company Via Mpesa
An employer can make payment to NSSF via Mpesa through Paybill 333300.
The pay bill number 333300 is the business number, while the Unique Payment Number (UPN) is the account number.

What Is The Obligation Of An Employer Under The NSSF Act
- Immidiate registration with NSSF as a contributing employer
- Ensure prompt registration of all employees, including daily paid workers, as members of NSSF.
- To deduct and remit contributions in full by the 15th day of the following month.Late contribution attracts a penalty of 5% of the contribution for each month or part of the month that is remitted late.
- Maintain proper and up-to-date records of employees‘ earnings and particulars.

- Age/Retirement Benefit
The benefit is available for members who have reached the age of 55 years or when they retire at the age of 55

2. Withdrawal Benefit
Eligible for Members at the age of 50 years of age who have retired from regular paid employment.

- A certified copy of your retirement letter OR certificate of service OR termination letter
- NSSF Membership Card
- National Identity Card/ Passport/ Alien ID.
- Bank details for EFT.
3. Survivors Benefit
These is the documents required to claim NSSF benefits for a deceased person as a dependant/relative of a deceased member.
- Original death certificate of the member.
- Photocopy of the deceased member Identity Card (if available).
- Claimants National ID Card/Passport/ Alien ID.
- Letter from County Administration confirming dependants.
- NSSF member number of the deceased.
4. Invalidity Benefit
- Members who are certified to be permanently incapable of working because of physical or mental disability.
- Members who are at least 50 years of age and suffer from a partial incapacity of a permanent nature that prevents them from undertaking employment.
How to apply: Visit your nearest NSSF office with the following documents:
- NSSF Membership Card
- National Identity Card/ Passport/ Alien ID.
- A certified copy of your retirement letter OR termination letter on medical grounds.
- Medical/treatment report from the hospital you attend(ed).
- Bank details for EFT.
5. Emigration Benefit
Members emigrating from Kenya to a country that is not a member of the East African Community, without the intention of returning to reside in Ken
